We got a plastic key.....was told it was a valet key.
I received a valet key which was handed to me by my dealer with the 2 main keys. This was USA and delivery date was June 2004.

My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.
I received valet keys for both my 03 325 and 05 525. I keep the 05 in my wallet and my wife keeps her 03 in her purse.
