Any one figure out how to disable a feature on the Key Fob. The one I need urgently disabled is the boot opening feature or atleast make it open after a longer press. I recently went away on a holiday and left my boot open for days. It must have happened as I stepped into the taxi the morning I was leaving!!

Short of removing the button, perhaps a dealer can help. But I doubt it can be disabled. BTW - on mine, it takes a couple of seconds of pressure before anything happens to the boot.

Auto fold-in (or not) is dealer-settable. If you really like the idea, you can ask...

(I mean - through the key. Clearly, if the mirrors are not motorised, then nothing doing)
I asked my dealer some time ago and he said it wasn't possible even though I've got motorised mirrors. Is he right or is he just being unhelpful/incompetent? Come to think of it, they are currently struggling to solve an intermittent blank screen/no I-Drive function problem, so maybe it's incompetence.

I have 2006 525i, If i hold the UNLOCK button on KEy for couple seconds, all the 4 windows roll down... How to roll the windows UP by using The remote key?

What about the Moon-roof open/close from the remote key? If I have key in passenger side door, rotate the Key to left and holding it will open ALL the Windows and then Moon-roof too.. If u turn the key to the right, it will close all 4 windows and Moon-roof too.. It would be nice, if this can be done via key too!!

Closing the windows and roof via the remote is not available for US cars (maybe all of North America?) because BMW is worried someone will sue them when they close the window on someone...

Keep in mind that you can roll the windows up and close the roof with the fob if you are outside of North America...

A good excuse for saying that all lawyers should die.

Iceman seems to be pretty sure it can be done - see here. There are other reports from UK users who say it's possible; I will ask my dealer to do this at the next service (April?) - given it's possible on 3 and 7 series, it would be odd if it's not so on the 5!

Is Automatic Side Mirror folding an option or Standard on 2006 525i ? Dont see any buttons for this function inside car.. Not sure much of a use for it, but would look cool if they close when u hit Lock and open when u UNLOCK using Key

Other threads seem to indicate that in the US it's not even an option, as apparently you cannot get the electrical folding mirrors... At any rate, it's not "standard", but it's a dealer-settable preference (which should be available at low or zero cost)
