OK, so I have 5000 miles now and I just used the cruise control for the first time. Very cool how it shows you the speed in the digital display and the dial that swings around the speedometer got me so excited. I don't know why, I guess I just wasn't expecting that. Pretty neat.

I wish that either the digital speed setting display would stay on when cruise is on or that the total outside dial (up to the speed setting) be white (not just the end notch) when cruise is on as in my MB and as my 545 tach does for to indicate cold engine temp.

Has anyone experienced cruise control just dropping out (back to manual throttle) for any reason? Mine does it occasionally and almost always at the same place on an uphill road that starts to level out and curve to the left. I can't duplicate it all the time, but I find it strange for it to drop out somewhat predicatbly at the same location. I was thinking maybe it is a safety feature, but then it's not that sharp of a curve.

Some years later the cruise control would not always stay in operation, but the mechanic said a small positioning motor for the gas control should be changed. I did not start repairing it with over 200.000 km?and lived without it.

Any slip of tyres and it will drop CC off. Even DSC light does not have to come on! Some times when CC drops it scares me, because of course it comes to mind that something went broken.
