So I went and test drove the 550i I will most likely be buying tomorrow or Thursday and I was grinning ear to ear getting on it in manual mode getting on the highway ;-) That car has got some serious balls! I didn't even push it as hard as it could go either...This weekend is going to be a fun one for sure ;-)

Ya got that right! I'm getting a phenominal deal on the car as well...It doesn't have the sport package but at the price I can't pass it up. 06 silver gray with cold weather/premium package and PDC, 44K miles, near perfect condition inside and out for $23,900. Love that car!

Yeah I did sweat the lack of sports package at first but trust me...This car is a 9.75 out of 10. It's just too good of a deal to pass up! I don't do a lot of "sporty driving"...I just like to be pulled back into my seat getting onto highways and whatnot :-P

kentrob, i know exactly how you feel. when i test drove mine, it only took me a few miles before I committed.
previously, i tried-out a few 3's, and a few lesser 5's, and nothing really compared (although the x-drive option that other models offered was tempting.. especially considering the weather here)
i said "to heck with it" x-drive.. dont need it.. the 550 is a great car the way it is, i wouldnt change a thing (okay, maybe a few things)
the fact that yours wont be sportpack is a bit of a turn-off, but it's a matter of taste. it's a beastly machine, and it'll treat you like a king!
