Have finally ordered an 07 530 d se 231 auto this afternoon - Used to front wheel drive cars and managed to spin the 525d demonstrater during a test drive. Salesman was shocked as I had all the elecrtonic gismos on - 2nd gear, wet roundaboun - no damage. I ordered a car afterwards which made it ok. Will my new 530 d se auto be "tail happy"

Please advise - will auto box help

We have a lot of roundabouts over here too. I never had the rear tailgate on me. Maybe there was some oil on the road or ice? Normally with the DSC on there should be no problem.

Congrats on the new car!

Welcome 530d is 535d even better but you can always tune it up

So back to topi, I did a little in roundabouts if you give more gas of course the rear will swurf a bit, but to spin you need to steer too or turn very hard angle, I did never spin just pushed the rear out man that is fun but be careful and to turn off the DSC go to an open good quality parking when closed eg, a big mall and try there w/o causing troble to yourself or others.

Winter and RWD Bmw is fun no offence to X-drive...

I asctually enjoyed it, corrected some opposite lock and it straightened up nicely after some sideways movement. Was a large roundabout so others just watched. Was very wet and zero degrees - just got carried away

When all that torque kicks in the rear end can break traction
