So I am leaving work tonight, I am a bartender at a restaurant, and when I am backing up to leave I hear and feel an aweful sound. A huge cracking thud. Well I get out to acess the damage and my bumber dead. No this is not the usual case of a parking stop. Two steel rebars are sticking up 3" up through the parking stop which ripped through my bumper putting a rip in my bumper on the bottom. So then I get in the car to drive home and my iDrive says "foglight malfunction". So the foglight is f*cked as well. The restaurant does not own the building, they rent from a shopping center. So should I contact the shopping center. Will they pay for this since they left steel rebar poking through the parking stop? What are the chances that they will pay?


Cliff Notes: Leaving work tonight, a piece of steel rebar poking up through a cement parking stop cut a gash through my bumper and somehow broke my left foglight. Is the landlord responsible? How do I retrieve funds?

Thats sucks!!! Do you have the stock bumper on? If so, there are alot of members that have stock bumpers laying around in storage....You might get lucky and get one fairly cheap!!

You'll overpay. Ask member Shadezero if he still has his Sapphire Black bumper left over from his recent M-Tech install (He also lives in Florida)

If he doesn't have it, then buy the ?mnitza M-Tech front bumper

If money is no object go the dealer route. But if you want to find a replacement post a WTB in the classified forum here with the details for your car bumper ( I think your profile says Black Sapphire) - e.g. if you have PDC your replacement bumper will have to be one set for it. Same with the broken fog - you should be able to catch one on this forum.

 

Thank you guys for your help with the bumper. Should I contact the owner of the shopping center, I assume they have an insurance policy.
