My Ride: 535d M Sport / Carbon Black Metallic / Aluminium cube / black leather sports seats / Prof. SatNav / Bluetooth.
Cool

Congratulations! Special looking car, I really like the interior contrast.

I am sure you won't tire of the torque 1500 to 5,500 RPM at full bore...Beautiful !

That thing must be a monster pulling away from a stop light or coming out of a low speed corner.
Not as much of a monster as yours, or even mine though. Check out the vid in my signature from Top Gear comparing a 535d vs a 545i.

Yes I've seen that vid and am aware that 545 and 550 are faster than 535d. But the feeling of so much low end torque pulling away from a light or coming out of a low speed corner has to be incredible. 545/550 motors don't have truckloads of low end torque althought the TT V8 that the F10 550 is getting should address that nicely.

I've driven a lot of miles in a 535d, the torque is impressive, but as that video shows, nothing comes of it. It's not translated into a good 0-60 time and it doesn't result in fast acceleration at the top-end either (over 100mph). Since I got my 545, I haven't once regretted it in terms of performance on any scale.

Me too, first car I've ever managed to find with the individual package, was one of its main selling points.

24 hours to go

I've never understood that phrase - lucked out. The Americans use it a lot. For me my default thought turns to it being negative. "Lucked out" sounds like you were out of luck, or bad luck. "Lucked in" sounds much more sensible. Whateva !! I hear you all saying. Quit trying to OT the thread. I know. I'm bad.
