I had my choice, my wife would drive a 1974 Suburban, painted bright "Don Johnson" pink with a 454 and welded 1/4 inch steel beams all around it. Save me a fortune in insurance, and never have to worry about her getting hit.

Tnx!

Yes indeed great sales experience at East Bay......bought the last two BMW's in Concord and honestly did not have a good experience this time while looking so took my business 20 miles south.

My CA was Jason Burger (925-251-7049) and was a true sales professional and a delight to work with.....would highly recommend

Uh huh.... mmmm.... DMZ have you checked out a new M5 lately?
In the US at least BMW (and some others) have been clever in the past few years, of holding the MSRPs to slow growth but rapidly increasing invoice costs narrowing the margin substantially and significantly increasing the cost the buyer pays. The dollar is weak, we just don't like to believe it.

Yeah, but just wait until you see the resale/residual value. Its a pisser.

My '07 550i was stickered at $64k, I got it for $59k in Feb. of 2007. Amusingly, I was talking to a BMW dealer yesterday about a sweet CPO M3 convertible on their lot, they said they would give me around $39k for my car - 11 months old with 14k miles. I laughed at him and told him that I knew there would be a depreciation hit, but that if their cars lost $20k in value in 11 months (over 1/3 of its price), there was no way I was buying another. He "himmed & hawed" about it, and honestly, I knew their deal was to buy as low as possible, but for him to suggest that figure was insulting.

Just ranting. Trust me, I know the deal & the game, and that cars are terrible depreciating assets. It was just funny for a BMW dealer to go so low so fast.

The funny thing is that its a lease car, and the residual purchase in Feb. of 2010 is still $39k. Think there's any way I'd pay that in 2 years if that's its trade value now. Uh......no.
