I promise i will send you some pictures shortly. Its really the same 5 er as 2004,2005,2006 accept for the comfort seats being standard in the Sport package and the new sport steering wheel. What really makes me happy is that if you folks with 545's out there thinks its just another V8, Think again. This V8 is AWESOME. It is totaly different from my previous 545i, in every situation. This engine is sooooooo phoenamenal. It has a much deeper tone to it, and it revs up sooo freely. The torque is unbelievable in every gear, and all of the RPM ranges. Definitely test drive one and you'll agree with me.
Not trying to put any one's 545i down, (it is still a great great vehicle) this one is just a whole different animal.
I figured you guys and gals wanted to hear some first impressions!!!
Congrats. OK. So BMW ran out of tricks in their hat and made a larger engine, not techno upgrades. 35 more HP but alittle more weight. Can you give us some real numbers. Thanks for the "feeling" feedback.

I agree! This is one phenomenal engine. I couldn't believe at first how freely it revs, and I came from an e46 M3. It is almost impossible to keep to the break-in guidelines if you put it in sport mode. By the time you look down it is at 5000 RPM. Most of the time I drive sanely, but every once in a while.....

Seriously, congratulations!

Mine is my first...I can't imagine 5.

Do you still own any of them? What else do you have in your "stable?"
