Wasn't going to change my current E60 till next year but have just been to the dealer and bought a new car. Car is dealer stock and the garage wants to shift it this year. Spec is - Titanium Silver 520d Msport, black high gloss wood trim, black leather with comfort seats, bluetooth phone, 19" alloys. Have managed to get out of my current lease deal (only 14 months in) and am paying ?100 per month more over 3 years for a car costing over ?8000 more. Should colect it on or around 28th December.

Great choice- You already know the merits of the 520d, now enjoy the looks and ride of the mSport- Auto or manual?

what made you change it early? If i were you i would have waited for the mooted 177hp 520d or the 200hp 525d post march - likely to cost the same if you stick to the SE as your 520d msport....

cheers

steve

ps - yep. I could have waited till march too, but my car had ?1200 of work coming up about that time, so getting shot of it now was important....

...maybe that's why he got the deal he did? They need to get rid of their stocks before the new models come.

Being patient and waiting for a new car is a lot easier said than done. It's like dog years and human years - every day waiting for your new ride is the equivalent of 1 week waiting for something else!

Cheers

I actually quite enjoyed the anticipation of getting the car. 6 months before I ordered it, then a 7 week wait.... didnt find it too 'stressful'. Now ive got it, it seems ive had it for ages, but its only 18 days.....

You might actually get an even better deal on the 525d. Thats what my dealer told me, as it was on his sales quota, when the 520d was not. I didnt want this deal as the fuel consumption increase would have been significant on a 32k a year car.

cheers

steve

Thanks Guys, to be honest I had no intention of changing the car, and would have liked a face lift model, that was the plan anyway. Was going to wait till next September as I think that is when the 2.0d gets 177bhp??. I got a comparative deal from my usual dealer for a new car, same spec but black so not dealer stock and it was 4k more and thats with over 2k discount off list price. The one I am getting has to be registered today to get the deal. Also got a good deal on the finance so that brings the price down as well. Anyway can someone tell me what comfort seats are? have a rough idea but am not sure.
