Thanks to everyone for all your great posts. Definitely one of the better boards I've been reading. Quite a few great topics helped me narrow down my decision on the options, how to order and how to get the best deal ($1200 over invoice + tax & reg).

And I finally cleared things up with Weatherford BMW over here in the SF Bay Area regarding ordering the Anthracite Headliner (my post from last night).

So in aprox 8 weeks I'll be the proud new father of an 08 550, which I ordered because in 12 weeks I'll be the proud father of my first child - a baby boy!!!

This is what me and my son will be rolling:

Deep Sea Blue
Natural Brown Leather
Light Poplar Wood
Anthracite Headliner
Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
Sport Auto
Nav
HUD
Night Vision
Rear Sunshades
Logic 7

Thanks again guys, just wanted to share my good news. And once my son is born, I'll post pics of both my babies together!!

Cheers,
Trevor

Congrats on both! You'll love the 550i. The only addition I would have made is an iPod/USB adapter. Even if you're not into that now, you might in the future. It makes it so nice having 100s or 1000s of songs to choose from in the car without having to reload CDs, etc.

Great time in your life. savor it. Great choice of car for a family man with a need for a sporty sedan. Your life will change for the better when your son is born. You will also first learn the true meaning of love

All the best
