I just ordered my E60 (530xi, 18inch wheels style 123, nav,HUD,comfort access and seats,6 speed,sirius,sportpackage,premium sound, silver gray with auburn)
but noticed that some Idrive screens in the gallery here on this site are small, others are the
16:9 ratio screen used in the 7 series and the new M5- what is up???
how can i get my US delivery e60 with the larger, 16:9 screen???
also, any thoughts on the silver gray / auburn combo? in the pictures on this site auburn looks horrible!
thanks -wulff1

You will get the larger screen because you have Navigation. Cars without it get the smaller one. (Assuming you are in the US)
And Congrats on your order!

Not sure on this but;
I have the "big screen" (in practice it?s one screen, but it's functionally divided into two). Reason for this is that I have Navigation Professional. A friend of mine has no Navigation at all and he has only got the smaller screen.
I think that it has to do with the presence of a Nav?gator.

Only netvigation gets the big screen, wonder if you can replace the small screen with the large if you don't have netvigation.

I've had both small and large screens with nav. My first E60 had Nav business i.e. no maps just arrows and it worked perfectly also every click of the i drive knob gave an instant reaction. The nav prof, which I believe is all you can get in the States is great with the maps etc. but its soooooo slooooow. You click the knob and it takes an age to do anything.
Auburn with maple is probably the way to go. Also Silver grey is the ultimate colour IMHO
It always looks clean!
