I just spent the weekend at Crystal Springs two weeks ago... Nice area

Ballyowen was a great course (shot a 76 there) =) And doubled 7 and 11

We had a group of 20 on the trip. We play a Ryder cup every year and alternate locations (Brits vs. USA)

Great times

However one of our group members was driving back from a bar in Sparta late night and was pulled over because someone threw a cigarette out the window. Needless to say, the police were not very happy and wrote up a very hefty ticket for polluting...

Smoking can be a very expensive habit
Dude,

Took clients to Wild Turkey today, weather was fairly nice = supposed to be in the high 70's this weekend maybe 80 on Monday.

Speeding is dangerous but we've all done it. There's a reason the speedometer goes past 70. They would be picking up the pieces for a week if you crashed and burned doing 140

True... definitely hit the chicks... but I dont think that's his case when he said 'enjoy'. More like going 65 MPH speed limit enjoyment
And I can still get up to 65MPH a lot faster than yours can

Well I don't need to be worried about that do I? As soon as I past 65 MPH and further into the triple digits, I'll be putting your M5 to shame

You kind of remind me of member 700700? Anybody remember him?

Anyways, I can't be anyone's mother, but try to be safe no matter how you enjoy your car. Every act as consequences. The problem is we don't often see it.

Screw it, I'll admit it...

This was 11 years ago, mind you, so bare with me here. I was in my early 20's and stupid. I was living in SF and I sped down 280 South (just past Crystal Springs Golf Course) and got up to 130mph in my old Jetta GLX (Great car b/t/w). Was it stupid? Maybe. I was following a friend in his Mustang. He was local and knew the roads. It was a Saturday afternoon and the road was wide open (not many cars). It lasted for a few hundred yards, before returning to the 80mph range.

And I must admit it guys, especially for those that live in the Bay Area, HWY 280 is a road that screams "speed". I never got that feeling on 101, but with 280, I would always see drivers speeding. It's pretty easy to get the lead foot on that road, esp when it's wide open.

(I know I'm going to get it for saying this on this thread...so just hit me with it. Come on, lay into me and tell me I'm an idiot).

130??? thats too fast to be going in a Jetta!!!! you idiot! 4 years ago I was on the 280 in a E39 M5 in Palo Alto and BOY did that freeway scream speed... I tried to obey the law and did not go faster than 2 * 65mph..

Hey why the name change? what happened to cmansbimmer???
