will do ...I contacted an indy and im going to bring it for an inspection seeing that the dealer's famous line is * its normal* or *everything looks good*

I think the dealers actually get paid by bmw when they do warranty work. If so, they should be incentivized to find and fix problems as well.

yea they do but warranty jobs dont pay the same as customer pay cash jobs does the techs at the dealership that i work at bitch and hate doing warranty work cause it doesnt pay crap

+1. Dealer gets paid wholesale rates for parts, and probably a super low flat rate on service. Not the 150/hr that they charge clients - more like 50/hour.

thanx guys for the advice im at 49,880mi went to an indy for an inspection and discovered a leaking power steering pump! and this is after the dealer told me "everything look good and dry" on my last visit less than a month ago so I went to the dealer today with pics and a report from the indyand they ordered a new p.s pump...my visit to the indy saved me $1100.00 plus laborcharges
