Its 8pm... any new findings? How'd the race against the 550 go?
He did not show. There is a 2008 550 Sport at the office building across the street, don't know who owns it but maybe I'll leave a note...

Pennetta and Rudy:

Now that you both have some time with the SAT - the $64,000 Question.

If the SMG was still available, which one would you get? I must surrender my SMG for an SAT in a few weeks and i am afraid I am going to miss it.

The heating problem is not the problem with bigger oil cooler in 535i (compare to 335i). One lingering concern is fuel pump, so many has failed in 335i (earlier built I may add and the volume of 3ers is about 3x the 5ers) nonetheless we've seen 2 failures on 535i from the 2 boards.

Stock for stock similar drivers, 550i will win over 535i, but how much not sure. At this point, I am happy with the 535i pick up from rolling start, it's almost too fast for me.
But next year when I am rather bored I'll chipped it, hope I can make my mind to go either with Xede (activeautowerke) or Procede (Vishnu tuning) by then.

I would get the SMG. The SA is faster shifting but the SMG was very cool with a better mechanical feel. I liked that it did not shift smooth and you always knew it was a manual and not an auto. It also gave a uniqueness that only the M's now have. The SA is too close to the steptronic in operation and non-exclusivity.
