My Ride: 535d, Nav Bus., PDC, saphire black, dakota beige leather, heated front seats, xenon, shades, bright brown poplar, standard seats with electric adj. and mem., automatic climate control.
Hi everyone, i'm new here and I stumbled upon this site while searching for info about the 535d. Anyway, I live in switzerland and my dad just got a new 535d and I got to drive it around. We had previously rented a 530i for two months and boy is this car different! Anyway it's much faster. But it cost 73,000chf. (64,000$) compared to the 63,000chf (55,000$) 530i. So my dad was forced to buy standared seats, although still leather and electric. So tell me, was it worth it? I will post pics as soon as I get my hands on a camera, thanks!
For those not familiar, these are the specs:
535d: 272 hp, 560 nm 0-100 6.5s
530i: 225 hp, 300 nm 0-100 7.1s
NOTE! the 535d weighs 200+ more kg!

Come to think of it, i dont really care about the comfort seats, the 530i had them and i don't see much difference apart from the adj. and the headrests. And yeah ur right i do make up many excuses to drive it, although it's mine on the weekend. I'd still like to know if it has such a big advantage over the 530i though as i never drove it. And also i read somewhere that its peroformance is almost like that of the 545i, is this true? Thnx.
