Yeah I test drove the '06 530 a week before. Drive difference...I remember the 530 being a little lighter on the wheel compared the tight 545 steering. Acceleration, oh man, 545 is a lot quicker and sounds a lot better, 545 pulls your gut into the seat, 530 doesn't really do that. Although the 530 is pretty quick, the 545 gets your gut spinning. The 545 has this deep sound from the engine/exhaust everytime you start pushing it, the 530 didn't really have that. They're both great cars, but the 545 is just a world of difference when you step on it.
