Just got my 545iSMG, Some Question though!
#1
Hey all,
Ive been reading this forum for weeks in anticipation of my new 545i SMG to get some info. It arrived yesterday, and I must say, it's SICK! . I was so sad yesterday because I had to turn in my 2002 540i 6-speed w/ m-package and I love that car and still do. I didn't think even the 545i could top my old 540i but it's already growing on me
I have some questions about it though. First and foremost, how fast is this beast? I've been reading all sorts of different stats everywhere. I'm still not putting my foot all the way in it because I like to give it at least 500-800 miles before abusing the sucker :b.
What is 0-60, 0-100, and 1/4 mile?
Will it beat my shittalking friend's 2003 Infinity G35 Coupe? (PLEASE GOD)
Will it beat Benzo E500s?
Thanks in advance!@
I got the following options:
SMG Tranny
Sport Package
Comfort Seats (things rock!)
Premium Audio (Logic 7)
I'll post some pics pretty soon!

Cool deal and thanks for the info. Pics will be up later when I get home from work. As for the info you pulled from websites, can you post those links here if possible?
I'm loving the SMG so far. I was kind of worried about it since I loved my 6speed manual that came in my 540i. I'm still gettin used to it, the upshifts were worrying me a bit at first it seemed kinda jerky but that's because I was driving it like a panzy. I soon found that it loves to be shifted at 4500-5500rpm (still not redlining it since its new). As for the downshifts, they are absolutely incredible. Those Germans came up with the perfect forumla for the software to match speed->rpm plus keeping the horse and torque in mind. Thing downshifts like CRAZY, I can already tell if someone is messing with me while I'm in like 4 or 5 just press that button twice down into 2 or 3 and I'm gone .
