I'm not trying to steal this guys thread, but I've never heard of a 525iA???????? I have a 525i and it's automatic?

If you open your driver's side door, there is a sticker that says the specific model of your car. For example my last car was a 318tiA and this car is a 525iA. Maybe that A designates an automatic transmission...not sure.

hey, our cars are exactly the same! HIGH FIVE!


well, except mine is manual. haha.


also, a manual 5er would be a 525i/6 and an auto is 525iA in BMW talk. it's an old system of BMW model designation that e39 people liked alot, for some reason.

Nice! At first I wasn't a fan of TiSilver. It's growing on me. Also, thanks for the background info. Good to know.

I was actually reading this yesterday but I thought I couldn't do it since mine is an '04 with an M54. If I can do it, that's certainly something I would look into. Still waiting for your dyno results though
Shoot! You are right. Wrong engine configuration. You need the N52B30.....I should have Dyno results back in a week or so.
