In most (?) European countries the carrying of spare bulbs & fuses is mandatory. But what about spare LEDs if such a thing exists? While I appreciate that the average copper will not know or maybe realise the difference and hence not be a problem, but complying with the letter of the law is somewhat different. Have any legal requirements been changed to meet the standards, I wonder?

You could carry a led around for longer than you own a car and never need it.

LEDs have a MUCH longer life than a gas-filled bulb.

And who, amongst those of us with Xenon's, carry a new Xenon unit, even if it could be fitted at the side of the road??

Forget the LED spares, they will outlast the car, barring physical breakage.

Mike.

P.S.

ABC,
Are you going to start a "pedantic twat" section of the Forum???
If so, can I join???

Sorry - I couldn't resist it

Funnily enough, even I knew that.

You could just carry around around any old spare bulb if in doubt.

No law enforcement officer is going to know if it is the right one or not!

If he/she points out that you have LED's the obvious response is 'Then why are you asking me about spare bulbs, dimwit!'

You might want to parphrase that though.
