just being curious: is it possible to put a small turbo into a 520?

A turbo is an exhaust gas driven supercharger, so you could turbo your lawnmower or weedwacker if you wanted to. For your application it wouldn't neccessarily be unreliable but there may be a lot of turbo lag and there would have to be some synergy between the two turbos or you could have dead spots in the powerband.
The reason for twin turbos is the reduction of turbo lag because inertia on a smaller turbo is less than on a larger single turbo. But since you already have the larger turbo you will not see a benefit unless you stage them like the older Porsche turbos. The smaller is used early in the powerband and the larger is added later in the power band.
It could be fun, let us know how it turns out.

yeah, thts what im tryin to do, if i actually carry it out.

but i have no idea where to get it done wt so ever. lol!!!

i bet it will be awesome once its done. turbo charged all the way through any rev.

I am sure it would be posible but you would have to deal with the compression ratio.
Yours is 10.70:1. That is fairly high for pump gasoline, hence the need for premium gas.
The 535i has the dual turbos you want and has a compression ratio of 10.2.
BTW the new 2011 replacements will have 1 turbo.

You would have to either reduce the boost or the initial compression ratio. then add a 535i turbo package and all the programming etc.
Sounds like a real engineering problem.
The good old days of just bolt ups are over.
BTW you may be better off buying a used 535i???????
