Hi All,

I currently have an '06 M5 and am based in Mumbai, India. I visit the US every 2-3 months and will be visiting the NY, NJ and PA area in the 2nd week of June. I am looking for a particular part, which is a connector which goes into a plug, which connects to the CAS (Car Access System) module. The module is located above the driver footwell. I kinda screwed mine up whilst attempting to install the trunk release switch and hence need another so I could replace it. I have attached a pic and what you see, actually is whats inside another holder which connects to the module.

Would anybody know where I could find good junk yards, where totalled M5s or even 5s (E60s) would be, as I am sure the part will be common. I highly doubt that $tealers would have this part as its not too fast moving. Unless I could find a place which stores all parts of the vehicle. The part number I found printed on that small connector was: 6906054-03
Not sure whether this is the right number to begin with, but this is what was printed on it.

I will be driving from EWR to State College, PA and then will return to the NJ & NY area. Any tips on where to find yards where fairly new E60s would be trashed? Any help would be appreciated. My first option would be to find a way to purchase a new one, but as I am there for only 5-6 days, I would need to pick it up quick! Thats the trouble- wont have time to get a $tealer to special-order it, etc...

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks in advance and regards,

Kris

Worst case scenario. Call the dealer to special order it for you and hold it until you arrive.

Mike, any way you can help me with this? Dont know which dealer to contact and how many days it will take and whether or not they would be willing to do this for an international customer.

Try looking on realoem.com
