July '04 BMW Group U. S. Sales Report

BMW Group sales this July reached only 24,086 vehicles, down 4.4% when compared to the 25,189 sold last July. Total BMW Group sales of 167,732 units for the first 7 months of the year were up 3.4% when compared to the 162,287 sold in the first 7 months of 2003.
For comparison, Mercedes-Benz had it?s best July in MBUSA sales history with 18,962 units sold this month, up 1.2% from the total of 18,742 sold last July. YTD sales for M-B were 122,130 which was a decrease of 2.0% from the total of 124,630 units sold during the first 7 months of 2003.

Please note that I am reporting only United States sales data.

Nice info. Personally I hope they won't sell a single E60. My car will be the more exclusive like a ferrari or so

What can we do to keep sales low???
When my car is new the first thing I will do is put it at the side of the highway with the warningblinkers on and the hood open.. Maybe a little smokebomb under the car will help to get the statement to the rest of the roadusers..

I got to say the BMW has to be worried that 5 series sales were down almost 50%. In the past the 5 has been BMW's most profitable car. This will certainly give the haters more ammunition.

Go the the local DIY business buy 500 bolts and 500 nuts and during driving slip them out of the window
. or just spread the words and keep telling people around you how bad the car is, how stupid the salespeople are, how dumb the tech guys are...then we can get a m5 for the price of a honda accord 
!
