Anyone using BP Ultimate Diesel or Shell Diesel Extra and reckon it makes a difference?

On a E60 530d I noticed a little difference between Shell Diesel and Shell V-Power Diesel.

On same route (highway 200-300 Km) almost same driving style and same wheater condition

Shell Diesel: 12,9 Km x liter
Shell V-power Diesel : 14,2 Km. x liter

I'm using BP Ultimate diesel in a 730d.
More Kms with the same quantity of fuel.
Last refuel last for 950 kms. Cool.

It's a E65, 730d, December 2002, 90.000 Kms.
Better fuel consumption for sure.

The 730d seems to me like such an excellent car - with an extreme luxury feel - why switch it for the E60..?

Though, relatively high mileage for a car that new.

Not switching the 7. The 7 will be here 3 years/160.000 kms.
At home we have a 730d and a 320d (2002/40.000 kms) and we are waiting for the 530d this month.
We drive a lot around here (Portugal, Spain, France), and the cars are used for family use and professional use by all of us. That's the reason ....

Yeah, I can't see BP being able to sustain that for much longer, with the competition (Shell Diesel Extra), being rolled out across the country for no extra cost above their regular diesel.
