Has anyone else here had this problem: You are sitting there, with the car idling at a stop, then you take your foot off of the brake pedal, and just roll forward at the idling speed, and the car just kind of "Jerks" slowly forward? It's a strange thing and it happens everyday as I drop off my kids at school. I'm reasonably sure its not small children under the car,(but I will check next time). Let me know!

I have a 05 545i too; I also experience the same thing. I believe its "normal" for the V8 to idle a tad rough at lower RPM's. I don?t know how bad yours is idling, but mine is just enough for the passenger to notice. I know this doesn?t help much other than to know you?re not the only one noticing this.

I think this has been discussed here before as well.
