One sees what one is looking for!

I see easily 20-30 E60's every day and a lot of taxis.

Overhere mostly R6 engines, diesel and gas.

The same happens in Hong Kong too. It used to be every man and his neighbour own a E46 3 series, but nowadays, I see more E60s than E90. And I think for the first time in Hong Kong, there are more 5-series than the MB E-Class on the road.

Must be for the low spec ones only then.

My dealer doesn't give anymore than GBP 16,000 for my high spec 2004 69k miles 530d that costed GBP 51,000.
I doubt I'll get anything over 19,000 selling privately. With all the hassle of having punters coming to the house.

Strange, very strange ...

exactly, we spec our cars highly to get toys we want. But they are wothless when we sell or trade our cars.

Always choose options wisely. Some are essentials like Autos & leather, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, nice alloys and And now Xenons as they are all things buyers seek and many won't buy an E60 without any of them.

Other options like comfort access, heated wheels and panoramic sunroof are expensive to buy, expensive to repair and add no value to resale.

... and it's one of the best resale value cars here in US.
thus I'd imagine demand is increasing.
Let's hope it outstrips supply.

At one point in UK the 3 Series was so common that BMW artificially cut down the supply to bolster the resale market (and to try to regain some exclusivity).

I'll note that X5s are becoming the Preppy car of choice...assuming Daddy has the gasoline creddit card line to keep it going. Seriously, a lot of used ones are turning up being driven by very young guys, and a friend told me the other day that it's the first chioce of his son who is a sophomore in college, even after driving his Dad's 530 sport all summer.
Cheers,

Have you guys and gals (any E60 ladies here?) noticed that there are more and more E60s on the road lately? I remember just as recently as last year, I hardly saw two a week. Now I am seeing 5 or 6 per day!

Another observation is that most of the ones I see do not have the sports package.
Yes, there are more and more on the road now. Here in the Los Angeles area it is very common to see up to 10 or 15 E60's every 30 minutes depending on traffic and the route taken.

I have to agree.... I used to be one of the very few e60 owners in my area. Now I see more and more on the road every day.
Also, since I've joined the forum a little over a year ago, we've nearly tripled in size...that is an indicator too.
