I know some hate when these types of letter get posted here, but bear with me.

After the Multiple issues with 2 back to back BMW E60/1 5 series, and the issues I've had with BMW NA customer service I'm done with the Brand. I may get a 2002 or a E30 ,at some point, some thing not too complicated to work on for fun (Hell My brother still has my dads 73 euro 2002 , and it is a blast and fun to tinker on)

I would like to thank every one on the forum for all their incite, information, and comradeship, friend ship since I joined up.

You all have helped out on many projects and have been one of the best if not THE best car forums on the net.

I have several friends that I have directed them here before their BMW E60/E63/F07/F10 purchases. They all have thanked me and spoken highly of the forums in general.

So with heavy heart I sign out for the last time.

BTW :If any one cares I got one of the last New 2010 VW Passat wagons to come stateside, there are not going to be any 2011 or 2012's and no word on if they will make a NMS wagon in Tenn. . Wagons are getting very rare in the USA and I needed the room and opted out of the Ford SVT Raptor super crew due to potential Fuel costs ( $100 a tank right now for 500 miles )...

sorry to read/hear of all your past troubles with your e60/1. Hope you have better luck with your VW

I've always enjoyed reading your posts and learned much from the info you've shared, especially regarding the N54 engine and hpfp problems. I hope you stick around and continue to interact/contribute to this forum. A good number of members here continue to post and hang out here despite moving on from their e60's and hope you decide to do the same.

I totally understand your pain and while VWs are not BMWs they are solid German engineered cars and should serve you well.

Quality and price pressures will plague brands like BMW and MB and even companies like Hyundai will chip away at their customer base.

Good luck with your choice ... I hope the Jetta is good to

Maybe we need to start a Passat forum too?

Good luck with your life beyond E60! As Gene said, no need to say goodbye though. You're welcome to hang with us for as long as you want...

Of course, now that we're part of the IB family, I suppose I can recommend a VW forum for you to try!
