Hey everyone first post so I am excited. Anyways I did a search but could not find the info I needed maybe I am a little slow. I just got my 20" staggered Lexani wheels on my bmw 545I sports package with a black lip black everything with the nexen n7000 tires love the tires I had perilli pzero before and I wanted to try this ones since I live in chicago to many potholes plus they are at a good prie. Tires are so quite smooth and respond fast. Ok I notice that when their are passengers on the back and I go over a midsize bump the tire scrapes the side I was wondering what can I do to fix this? Do I need new springs? Shocks? I don't want to lower the car just want to make sure I can put weight on the back without scraping any ideas would really help me thank you. Oh car has 60k.

Please enter the info on your tire sizes, offsets and wheel widths....you probably have something "off" there.

to the most expensive site on the web!

there could be a number of factors but these two have the biggest impact:

tire size and wheel offset. until you provide us with these, theres not a whole lot we can go by. 20's are common on 5ers, as you may well notice. so get us this info and we'll go from there...you will never be short of advice on this site for sure!!!

good luck

Wheels are 20 8x5 front rear 20 9x5 and the rear tires are 275/30/20 offset I don't know. That's all the info I know I am not that technical. The tires haves enough clearence on the back I can stick my hand in there its just when I put weight.

Not sure what you mean by clearance. The offsets determine how far out the wheels are sticking, which is usually the cause of the rubbing in your case, considering your wheel & tire sizes don't seem to be the issue. After all, you DID say they scrape on the SIDE. This would indicate that your rear offsets are probably too low.

My rear tires do seem to stick out like about less then an inch but that's only to the untrain eye you can't even notice it unless you really pay attention to it. So I am guessing your correct with the offset because it is scraping the side when there is weight. I already paid for the wheels package anything I can do to make it better? And is it dangerous to drive like that. Ill post pictures as soon as the sun comes back out.

you might need spacers because you got the wrong offsets

Actually sounds like he needs UN-spacers. The wheels are the wrong offset and they are pushed out too far. Sounds like there is nothing he can do but return the wheels or replace them.

unless if the rubbing is on the inside, thats a posibility (not likely though) i forgot what it's called but i think some wheels can be "resurfaced" on the back part of wheel where bolts protrude. please correct me if im wrong...
