iPod Connection or iPod/USB Connection - Difference?

Hence, it does not appear that it is something one can retrofit.

Ah....I see. So i'll just go with the regular e60 iPod connection then. I REALLY hope BMW doesn't pull a fast one and makes it available in an e60 prior to March 07 Production!!!
