Yes, do a search here for iPod. There is a OEM option which goes in the glove box in place of the six-disc changer. Or there are third-party options available as well... Both work with the iDrive for controlling music. I had the OEM in my 2004 545 and it worked well though there are some limitations with the OEM option in terms of number of songs or playlists that it can handle so potentially you could have some issues with large iPod music collections. Others will have to chime in with third-party options...
So will i be able to control my ipod through idrive or handheld? and how will it work with the idrive since there is no option for it on the Entertainment section. Sorry for all the questions! im a newbie at this!

No worries! Nothing will show in iDrive until installed/activated. Once installed, you may need to have the dealer update your software or activate the option in the iDrive, but then it is controlled through the iDrive. You can choose artists, playlists etc and even choose Random to shuffle songs.
Great! I'll definitely do my research! I appreciate you help!
