My Ride: 530i sport package - endless possibilities ahead!
I am going to pick up an Aux In connection for my 05' 530i and i was wondering if anyone has done this install on their own?? Apparently there is no re-programming involved and the console just needs to be removed so that the Aux wire can be connected.
Anyone?

Are you sure you don't have something in place already?
I could have sworn David had something on the car when he was selling it. Maybe he took it off though.

Hey now! very timely post!
I have an 06 525xi w/single CD in dash. Built in Satellite radio.
I want to connect my iPod to the stereo.
Can you help me identify if my stereo is compatible for this, what adapter(s) I need to purchase, and from where?
Thanks in advance!

For an aux retrofit, you need to go to the dealer for coding.
They will disconnect the CD Changer, and say its either one or the other, But, someone here has done it with both.
I attempted this and the BMW dealer openly expressed his lack of knowledge in programing and said, he just could not do it...
WTF.
Anyway, BMW have a habit of being complicated with add ons, so they wont otuch anything that needs customising. If you want to keep the CDC, then install the cable yourself, then get the coding done....check the forums..
