Hi -

I know that the retrofit kit for the iPhone is installed in the glove compartment. But can you extend the cable so that you can have your phone near you? Such as the fact that you can play "Pandora" and interact with the iphone?

Thanks

You can install the retrofit anywhere you want. The glovebox is one of the more popular places. The cable is 5 ft. Another common place is in the center console. In fact, they make special fittings for the iPhone in the center console, but they are expensive. Either way, if you look at the bottom/front of your center console, you'll notice an area that is made for a wire to come through for mp3's, etc. It's a little more work to put it here vs the glove box, but more accessable. You can also do a special mount in the ash tray, which I've seen some people do. In fact, I think there are pic's of it on this forum.
