When i purchased my car (04 525i 81K mi), my dealer included an Interstate Extended Warranty. It is for 5 years/100K miles (over current odometer reading). Do you guys know anything about this warranty? Was it worth it or did I get taken for a ride?

i think we have the same warranty/insurance. Interstate right Ron? Anyhow, my car started to leak coolant so we took it to a indy-car shop. After the initial road test/inspection, the shop found the following, quick recap:
-Coolant leak, auxiliary fan switch leaking coolant in lower hose
-Coolant hose in expansion tank to back of engine leaking coolant
-Vacuum pump leaking oil
-Transmission leaking fluid from transmission pan and sleeve
-Arm bushing are torn and have play
-Hood shocks replaced
-Alignment done on car
Parts about, $1,100+ Labor about $1,500+.
Keep in my, the warranty covers parts and labor only. Diagnostics not included. With my $250 deductable, I paid a total $700+ out of pocket.
2 years/20,000 mile warranty. I opted w/ the Elite Package, pretty much covers everything but wiper blades, tires, breaks, paint, battery. Warranty also includes breakdown of DVD, cd player, GPS, etc. I'm no gear-head, so IMHO, I think it was a pretty good deal.

Allstate insurance, but Interstate warranty. That's really good news. Seeing as how it was about a grand after we worked out a deal, I feel good now. Thanks.
