Hi,

Since having software upgraded to v13.3 a few weeks ago, I seem to no longer have the option (in iDrive) to NOT have the interior lights come on when a door is opened.

Could someone remind me WHERE the option is meant to be in the iDrive menus please?

This will help me be sure it's now missing as opposed to the possibility that I've just forgotten where to look.

"Why would anyone want this?" I hear you ask.

When our baby is asleep in the rear at night & we want to open the doors without shining spotlights into his face..... and the fairly predicable consequences <_<

Thanks.

Manual says to hold down the interior light button for 3 seconds which will cause the light to stay off continuously.

No problem. I couldnt tell you RTFM because I did not know it was there until I looked!!

That's why I keep one in PDF format on my PC, makes lookup nice and quick.

Thanks Streak.

That's the one!

I accidentally discovered it ages ago & couldn't find it again.

I should definitely RTFM

Where did you get your PDF manual from btw? I would love to get one of those.

Thanks again for your help. Without the spotlights, our baby will definitely stay sleeping when we arrive at his grandparents later tonight..... yeah right

Hi Shredder,
I cant remember the link for downloading the manual. I am sure someone will pop in here and mention the link.

Yes I have small kids as well, will do anything to make sure that once they fall asleep that they stay there!!

You can also find the owner's manual on the BMWUSA Owner's Circle website. You just have to register for the site.
