My Ride: 2005 BMW 330i Orient Blue exterior Beigh leather interior with Wood trim, Premium package, Steptronic auto, Xenon headlights.
I currently own a 2005 530i with Beigh Leather and Dark Poplar trim, Wish BMWNA offered also the Light Poplar trim. If so I would have gotten Beigh with Light Poplar.

Some people in the forum already have BMW Individual cars, for example Olly2000.
Try with search to find some photos of his.

why is it BMWNA does not give us the extra options to order the exterior color and interior colors that are avaliable elsewhere in the world. I read that the USA is BMW's biggest or one of the biggest market, so why not not use choose from all the colors instead of just 4 different interior colors and then telling us which exterior paint we can get them with and which we can't get them with? when building your own E90 3 series all paints and leathers can be combined as we wish, but not on the more expensive E60 5 series and E65/66 7 series? How does that make sence?
Black leather and light poplar wood is stunning IMHO - very expensive looking.
Black leather only needs a quick wipe. My last E60 with grey leather was not child friendly and required a lot of scrubing. I would advise anyone with children to go for black everytime.

I have the Black Leather with Dark Poplar, but I like the Light Poplar too which I have with Black Leather in my X5.
Good point about choosing the right interior that goes well with the exterior paint when the interior can be seen from the outside. Here in Taiwan, they allow such dark tinting on the windows that the interior is not visible so you can just choose whichever color interior you like.
Light colors are suppose to make your interior look large, but most all of the BMWs imported here already have the Black leather. I can vouch for the black leather and children. It is a good choice. That would also be good to consider when you go to sell it one day as hopefully the Black leather will look newer at that time, although I am sure a detailing shop can make even white leather look new again?
