Interesting MP3 feature/bug

My Ride: 2006 520i
History: Ford Cougar -00, Volvo S40 -04, Renault Laguna -03, Citroën Xsara -98, Citröen ZX -93, Citröen BX -88
When playing MP3 files on a DVD, I can't see more than the first 500 titles, a limitation that has been mentioned several times in this forum, and I can live with that.
But today I noticed, that when I use random play, it seems that ALL the songs are shuffled, even the ones that cannot be seen in the list - when a song above #500 is played, the display still shows the previous song though...
So, if you don't care about playing the songs in any particular order or displaying the titles, you can have appr. 1500 songs on one disc - Cool !
