Remove your charcoal filter (located in the top portion of your airbox)
Replace OEM filter with BMC or K&N
Get RPI scoop.
Those are the your best options. Proven gains.

You should note a pretty evident difference in throttle response with the BMC filter, the oem filter is pretty restrictive. The RPI scoop really is just a nice funnel for you airbox at highway+ speeds.

Besides Dinan, are there any quality cold air intake systems?
Another forum mentioned the possible need to do a software upgrade after CAI installation to override the computer's need to adjust the fuel due to higher O2 intake--any comments?

Cold air kits don't work. It's a joke that they are even called a CAI. They are sucking hot air from under the hood. The stock set up is good and draws air from the grille. That is cold air. I know there are a lot of fans of the RPI scoop, but $99 for a piece of plastic is a little too much. I am going to play around and make my own out of aluminum.
