Just a quicjk heads up, I was getting an adjustment today from my 330iS to my 535dS, and was told that it is the policy of Privilege (as well as others) to ask for tracker, if you dont have it, expect a premium enema....

This may be general knowledge on this forum but it was a shock to me...

I am with Privilege and they DID NOT ask for a Tracker, which I found a surprise as my M-B needed one.

Esure don't require a tracker.

I'm still amazed that the insurance on my 535d is the same price as my 530d. I thought they would have cashed in there.

Get a tracker with a speed camera detector! Do a search for tracker and see my previous thread on the subject...

OK. I'm with privilage too and had to have this fitted. Don't get Tracker retrieve it's crap. I found a company on the web. They were really great. Helpful and professional. Got it done for ?350 fitted inc Vat and 3 months free speed camera detector. rrp is ?499. Try this Trackstar plus

Talk to a guy called Keith. He's really helpful

I've got a Tracker Monitor on my Porsche and will specify one on my 535d - when the car had to go on a low loader recently due to a defect, Tracker called me twice when it was moving to confirm that I was aware of it. Excellent service and gives great peace of mind.

I'd be worried that the insurance company will use it as a way track your driving habits. They could spy on you to see if you speed a lot and then raise your rate.

They can't. Just BMW can, and they will not do it on request of the insurance company, just on your request.
