i dont know if this is known, but i found it by accident while trying to reset my oil service.
basically, the cluster lights up, and the gauges go through a full cycle. it looks kinda cool.

first, hold the trip reset button, until this message appears. the little screeen will cycle past the service reset screen.

tap the trip button several times, and the screen will cycle through several pages of info, written in german. this info will repeat itself if you keep tapping the button.

now to get to the screen test.
on any of the previous screens, hold the trip reset button again until the screen changes. this should appear "01._ _" release the trip button.
the dashes only stay for a second or two, while the computer is waiting for the page input. "01.01" would appear right away if the trip button wasnt pushed. just hold the trip button again until "01._ _" appears, release trip button, then tap the trip reset button until "02._ _" appears. it should only require one tap.

this should appear.

tap the trip button, then the test occurs.

i wish the cluster would light up and the guages would ride their full range upon start up, like the impreza STI. i think that is sharp.
