My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
Pricelist says TV function required Nav Pro. That's all.
BTW, WTF is CCC? All these abbreviations

CCC is the car communications computer. You get that with nav pro. Without nav pro you have M-ASK what is a computer too, but it is the multimedia audio system controller.
Everything what is putting a colour pic on the screen requires CCC (nav pro), since the CCC makes the FBAS signals a RGB signal that the CID (in dash screen/idrive screen) can display.
Without abbreviations:
Settop Box, television and map displaying require the navigation professional.

I enquired about the settop box several weeks ago and the parts dept at my dealer said it would fit in my car. They took the VIN of car and matched it up against the part on the system and it confirmed that it would fit.
Im not argueing with you Iceman, im just saying what my dealer said. Also on that parts site it does not mention pro nav.
