Hi Guys,

I want to install the LCI iDrive controller on my 2007 LCI 530i which runs on CCC, where can I find a DIY or link to such an install.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I just installed mine in an 08 you need the trim ring the controller and access to winkp to update your software. A demmel or similar tool to cut the trim and console base. The entire process can be done in 1-2 hrs.

I'll be working on installing mine this week. Tony has been a great help in explaining the process for me. As he said, you will need to update the software in order for the controller to work. Best of luck!

Make sure if you use WINKFP that you have everything updated before updating your software this route.

No modifying the plu it will only require four wires being removed from the controller connection and installing them into the menu connector. The old menu and controller wire are no longer used an will get tuck away. I'll snd out something tomorrow explaining it. I just got back in town and leave again tomorrow so I'll post up something from the hotel.
