Is your detector new? Did you just install it and then realize this or have you had the detector in for a while and this problem just start. Just curios, because a lot of companies are very quick to blame something else. I have a passport detector with SAT radio and tinted windows with no problems.

Wow there are a few people that run a V1 on the forum without that issue. Like Tony I use a Passport and I have not had any issues like that.

I might have some relevant information... I own 2 E60s. I have a radar detector in mine but none in my other one.

When the wife and I are driving both cars together, and my car is last, I ALWAYS get a radar alert for the entire duration.

Similarly, If my wife gets home and parks the car first, and I get home a short time later, my radar will still alert even when her car is off (but presumably not asleep).

I have never been able to imagine what electronic source is in the rear of a 2007 E60 that would alert a radar detector - especially if the car is off but not asleep. Perhaps it is some sort of EMI from the SAT radio/antenna?

I have a V1 and have not had this issue. On my 2004, I had standard audio amp, CCC navigation, telematics, Bruce V6 cables, LCI tails, MPM. No Sat, no TCU. On my 2010, I have L7, CIC navigation, telematics, Sat, TCU, exhaust valve solenoid, MPM, I trying to think of all the items in the rear area of the vehicles.
