I came across a bunch of problems with my car this past 2 weeks. I'm really debating whether I should go to an indy shop (which would most likely save alot of $$$$) or the dealership. My question is, what do MOST indy shops charge for a CCC module replacement, transmission reseal, and battery change?? From the estimates I received from the dealership, a CCC replacement would cost me $1600, transmission reseal $500, and battery change $450. Also, what other advantages are there from going to dealership or an indy shop. (i.e. reprogramming, warranty's, reliability?)

source urself a used CCC module from a parts car (crashed car). Or local shop can get the part and then code it. NCS Expert cannot be used to program so u need a shop with GT1/SSS. Transmission reseal? U need the seal for the tranny? Battery should be $250 to $300 including registering

they were saying tranny fluid was leaking. I don't really know much about cars so is that even possible? lol

You're in SoCal, I took my car to Solely Bimmer in Mission Viejo (yes, it's a drive but well worth it). I had my CCC and TCU replaced and AUX port installed by them for $330, after I sourced the parts. Not too bad and they have the tools to get it done. As far as warranty, I don't recall the details but there was one. Call them talk to Chad, he's the owner

A failed mechatronic seal can allow the fluid to leak out. Ask me how I know.

'mechatronic seal' ... do you mean the seal/o-ring on the electrical connector for the valve-body?
Or, the trans pan gasket?

I think the one that connects to the pan gasket, above leading into the pan itself. Had the same problem before but it was fixed under warranty otherwise I think it was estimated to be around $ 350.
