I have ordered caramel from the Individual range and it is nothing like cinnamon. Cinnamon is very orange. The auburn interior in my current 530d is much closer to cinnamon so if you are looking for that sort of colour, auburn is the way to go. Caramel is more of a biscuit colour and is halfway in tone between the beige and nature brown leathers BMW have.

Just what i wanted to hear - couldn't live with Cinammon again...

Carbon black + platinum/champagne interior + piano black trim = win.
Above Combo with Baby Daughter = Nightmare. Caramel looks easy to clean Champagne looks nice too...

I'd recommend looking at the colour swatches at your dealer. They should be able to show you the individual leathers. The two colours you have in mind will be a nightmare to look after if you have a young family. I've seen one of the limited edition X5s that were finished in carbon with champagne and at only 6 months old the interior was a mess. The light leathers really pick up dirt.

Yeah I know beige/champ. is an issue but scuffs look better on light leather... I have run with cinnamon for the last 2 years in the m3 and other than a scuff its worn well and looks very clean. Caramel looks ideal as it is almost neutral which is cool. Willl check the swatches out tomorrow if they are there when I test a 530 - last time I went they never had any individual brochures even

Did you get to see an interior in caramel beforehand ? or just a swatch ? I'm utterly drawn to the idea of full caramel leather on a jet black car as I think it will look stunning (and I am bored of Carbon Black) but am concerned that the alcantara headlining might be a bit much...

I see your expecting march delivery - are you getting HUD or MP3 playback or is your dealer cagey on them too ?

Why is it that you Europeans get more and better color choices?

I think that they don't trust us Americans to make good color choices which will hurt the residual value of the cars. Or they might be afraid that with so many good choices sales would fall off because we Americans could not make up our minds.

Anyway those are certainly a beautiful color combinations. I would have to see them in person to offer an informered opinion. However I would guess that caramel would get my vote.

Well, I don't know.
We can get ANY colour we want with BMW Individual. If they don't have it, they make it for us...
