Hi,

Does anybody know which audio company makes the amplifier and speakers for the new Individual Audio option? I've been trying to find some information but can't find it... I'd like to know if it's somebody decent or not.

Thanks!

The sounds is decent, mark my words!

I had a brief check, but I couldn't see anything on the amplifier. I need other tools to dismantle it (probably there is something on the back, out of sight of nosy owners...) in order to check more thoroughly...

BMW uses EU/German audio companies such as ie Blaupunkt.

A amplifier is easy to make, but the speakers and the acoustic feeling are demanding.

That isn't the manufacturer ... DIRAC just stands for "Dual Input Room Acoustics Calculator" and referes to the digital sound processing technology used in the setup, not the actual brand.

as Russ said, Dirac is the company that makes the sound processng.

I guess the speakers are made by Harmon Kardon as always?

I can see a couple of my speakers but cant see what brand they are.

As I wrote the hardware in audio isn't IT, except for the loadspeakers.

Sound prosessing by a Swedish corp.

If you Russ1974 want better sounds in your fine E60, change the speakers.

Check out the Ohms.

At home I go for British sounds, KEF, but the rest of my AV is Japanese Sony.

...Has anyone complained after hearing the DIRAC-system...? I think it's great for that money!

Also, it's the M-division that is responsible for setting up the system, that's all I know. But this thread intrigued me, and one sunny day this autumn I'm gonna check more thoroughly to see who made the stuff.
