Default Increasing steering, throttle, brake feedback?

just drove a sport package e60 from 2004, 530i specifically
it had a PERFECT ride and handling balance for me, it darts wherever you want in an instant but absorbs bumps very well. it is nice and quiet, body lean is a little high but the bolsters hold you firmly in place....however...

....the steering was utterly numb
....the throttle was mushy and did nothing for half the travel
....the brakes were bitey also with no feedback

are there any mods to address these issues? especially the steering feedback, i really want to know what the tires are doing and get some weight on the steering in corners

i mean, damn, i love the e60 so much but this is a huge dealbreaker!
however i am confident in the prowess of the mod community
help me e60 post, you're my only hope!

EDIT: if the post LCI models had tighter steering that's good too, i'm more seriously looking at a certain 2007 e60 with lots of the comfort features i want

sounds like you need to get a 550i with sports package, active roll bars, and active steering.

the 550i is way out of my price budget, and the 530i i drove was a sport package but to be fair, i've never driven a regular e60.....i just know that sport package one was too numb.
do the roll bars help with feedback or just handling?
does the active steering help with feedback or does it just make it artificially heavy?

i'm wondering if there's a way to reduce the steering boosting through code, literally "de-power" the power steering

Not sure what your budget is but 550 can easily be had for under 20k
Best thing to do is test drive a 550 sport to compare.

I Have an 07 530xi 38K Miles with Dynamic Drive and Active Steering....Not a fan of the active steering but I just did a sport button mod from Roskinc and wow, totally changed the dynamics of the car. Stiffer more responsive steering, throttle and transmission response were greatly improved, I was seriously impressed.

what? i thought the button does the same thing as just moving the shifter to the left in sport.

Oh no, I got the same button from Roskinc and the changes are different to DS. The sport mode provides throttle at any moment (improves handling times as the power just seems to be there at all times, no more waiting for throttle to kick in), much quicker shifts. OP, sounds like the 530i with this sports mode mod is what you need btw, I've got it in a 525i, it's worth it!

PLACEBO...you get that "special button" if you buy a manual transmission!
