My 545i normally revs at 500 -- but as soon as I turn on the A/C it moves up to 750 rpms. It doesnt sound like a lot but even just going into my garage it feels like the car is being pushed. Any idea what would cause this? Anybody else have this issue or have had it repaired before? Thanks for your input.

What you described is normal. Turning on the A/C engages the compressor clutch which puts a heavier load on your engine. the idle should raise slightly to compensate.
500rpms @ idle without the A/C seems a bit low...

Really? Ok, I guess I thought I had an issue. It just feels like it should be smoother than that--and add to that the transmission slam and
. I dont believe our 335i does that.
