Default Increased emissions - passed smog test

My service engine soon light is on as well as increased emissions warning on idrive. My Indy performed smog test to check for any leaks. It passed so he said its probably the fuel filter or fuel pump. What do you guys think?

I had the same issue. when i spoke with the dealer, they said it can be the gas cap..... i think it was because after 6 days of SES, the light finally went off..... they say it takes around couple hundred miles for the computer to configure. so with that being said, wait couple of days and make sure gas cap is on tight.....hopefully it helps.

Hey thanks for replying but doubt it's the gas cap. It's been on for about a month and a half and I've driven close to a 1000 miles in that time

Go to an auto store and have them read the code for free. It will be a generic code but it is at least a start.

Indy read the code with BMW software. Forgot exactly what he said but he said its related to the fuel pump or filter since he said it cannot be o2 sensors since there were no leaks

Call your indy and get the code then come back and ask the question again, sorry it's hard for anyone to help without any codes.

Clean the MAF sensor. That may do the trick.
