Hey all,

Was just wondering if anyone has come across this Increased Emissions notification from the insturment cluster. The Service Engine light comes on as well and I recently had my CIP upgraded along with a minor service completed. Being that my search results yielded no fruitful responses to my problem I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what this problem might be.

Thanks in advance,
P

I was just going to post the same thing. Mine came on a couple of days ago and I have an appointment next week.

I am also noticing some sluggishness and abnormal running. Not major but very slight.

The real way I noticed the engine performance is that I thought I was forgetting how to drive a stick. My starts and 2nd gear shifts where not as smooth and I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Are my motor skills going to shit? Then a day later I got the warning message. It is almost like I am getting a low RPM hesitation. Then I add a little more foot and next thing I know I am slipping the clutch. I also notice a little hesitation from 1000 - 2000 RPM.

I just had the same thing in mid-Jan (happened twice by the way). On the first call with the dealer, they attributed it to bad gas. when it continued past the tank of gas, I took it in. Turns out there was a seal that went bad in the exhaust system. It was pulling in extra O2 (or something to that effect). All fixed and fine now.

Dang VT that is another level higher of emissions malfunction.

I think they might be talking about this kind of emissions malfunction error.

it happened to me back in oct 2005 and it never happened again. I didnt even take it in. I made an appoitment and it went away 2 days later and never came back. *knock on wood* 545 times....

Hey - I got this error message a few days ago, but I'm not facing any of the acceleration or hesitation issues. I have an appointment on Tuesday for a checkup, but i'm not sure what i'm in for. I'm out of warranty but have the mnt. package still.

Anyone have any insight? what I might be facing cost wise?
