I believe some cars come from the factory with the MPG calculation incorrect as the 'gallons' may be set to imperial rather than US gallons or vice versa. But where in IDrive do I change this? I've found how to change from MPG - km/l - l/100km under 'Display Settings' -> 'Units', but cannot find where to set the aforementioned.

On my US spec car, I don't think I can change this. I imagine that cars built for the UK, etc. would be set for imperial and NA cars set to US.

Anyone know for sure?

 

It is changable -- see this thread, but how, I know not. Seems that some US folk have changed this also, if you read down.

Nope -- I'm in the UK.

 

Gotcha. The one I am familiar with is in Canada, I think...

 

I am in Germany and can select both.
It's in the i-menu.

Yup - My UK Spec E61 came with US gallons selected and needed amending.

 

Was your choice between MPG(US), MPG(IMP), KM/l, l/100KM or just MPG, KM/l, l/100KM, and a seperate option for setting gallons(US), gallons(IMP)? If so where is this option?
